Dear Dan:
The steepness of the stairs would have a lot to do with whether or not to
try and use a Dingo. While they will operate on fairly steep slopes, my son
had an employee to flip one, when he had the load too high and on a steep
slope. He had to go out and rent a large skid steer to rescue the Dingo.
Fortunately, his employee managed to escape without injury.
Dan, if you have some farmer friends, you might ask to borrow their hey
machine that lifts the hey from a wagon to the barn loft. Those were used
extensively when square bails were used everywhere. It is essentially a
conveyer with raised short walls to hold the hey in place on the bed as it
travels up and away.
I believe the popular name for them was hey elevators.
Yours Truly,
Clifford Wilson
