Bill table or rock salt will work yes. as long as it does not rain.  
another way  to rid the gras  from this season  is to cover those 
cracks with cradboard  or something to block the sun . then take a 
trowel after  maybe aweek or so even a  old screwdriver and  dig some 
of that out. then do you salt or round up application. Lee
