If you have a vinyl table cloth, I wouldn't punch holes in it to sew it to the
cover. Get some water bed repair glue and use that.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] hand held sewing machine

I wish I had one of those hand held sewing machines you used to hear
about on television. my 13 year old winter cover for the pool has a
couple good sized holes in it and i am thinking of taking a vinyl
table cloth and cutting it in half to form up two big patch's . 5then
i hear that the neighbors will think." well like I care what the
neighbors think , i want to keep the sunlight off the pool water . has
anyone on this list ever used a hand held sewing machine before. and
many years ago I had a hand held sewing tool meant fr repairing
awnings. that thing we used to feed fishing line into it but like
other tools it is amoungest the missing. Lee

Worrying is like rocking in a rocking chair -- It gives you something to do,
but it doesn't get you anywhere.
