Have you ever messed with these drip trays? I had to go through and take apart the freezer's insides again today, and thaw the drain. Planning to keep it pretty well empty for a day or two and watch it this time. I was able to probe down in the drain and reach the other side this time, since I was doing the job myself, and I had more time. I think it got fully thawed. I found something new, it's a switch on the ice maker which kicks on a little fan which blows over the spot where the cubes are formed and flipped out? So that's on now, rather it makes any difference or not I don't know. Of course, I had to empty the drip pan, and that's always interesting. It's got this little tab on the back of the pan which fits into a slot back up under the fridge... somewhere? So after forever messing with it and trying to feel the hole for the slot with the rubbery plastic drip pan, I just pulled the whole fridge out and climbed behind it and started looking at pannels. I was able to loosen enough screws and take them out to reach in and feel the back of the pan, and I found the slot it fit in. Now, I hope the thing is in right! Luckally no water dripped out under the fridge, but still, it's a pain! and quite easy to spill the pan on the way to the sink.
