I just received this device for setting or copying compound curves. It is a 
strip of metal about inch and a quarter high and five and a half feet long. At 
intervals there are brackets attached to it with slots and tightening knobs 
which allow you to bend the strip into curved shapes then lock them with the 
knobs.

The problem will be the offset if following this device with a router because 
one will have to use the base as the guide although I do have an offset base 
for my Bosch Colt palm router which will reduce this.

I don't have or use a rotary Zip saw, that might work better. Anyway, I thought 
I would pass the URL along in case someone else is interested. When the curve 
is set it is really very secure.
