Well, I am quite upset with the cobolt talking tape measures. About a year ago I was in the middle of a project and my talking tape measure went South. So I ordered a replacement and sent the broken one across the big pond for repair. When it came back I just put it away for a backup. Well today in the middle of another project the second unit totally went goofy. I replaced the battery and it worked for a while. Then I had the tape out about 15 inches and the unit told me 4 and 3/8 inches. Left it shut off and then pulled out the tape a few inches and was told that it is 1/4 inch. And now it won't talk. So I pulled out the one that was repaired and it does not talk, that is what I sent back to have fixed. I guess I will purchase another and send these two back for repair. When I send them back I will send them free matter. That is the way that the last one was sent to me. Once before I had the first unit repaired and it cost me $35 for shipping. So this time I will use the free matter as I did the last time. It did not add that much time and I am in no hurry to get them back since I will have one shipped secondday. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.lennymchugh.com Lenny Please Copy and Paste into New Message to pass along.
