The 800 + choices you found as a result of your search must have considerable duplication as I don't think there are that many vendors our there. I have only used one model and that is the VIP talking thermostat. The website is: www.talkingthermostat.com I actually have two of them in my home and have never had any problem with either one The support from the company is fantastic should you need it. The directions that accompany the unit are very blind friendly and the unit can be installed without sighted assistance if needed. The unit is easy to program or simply use as a standard thermostat. Visit the website and write back with additional questions if needed. When you log onto the site, you will actually hear what the voice in the thermostat sounds like Al -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> [mailto:[email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> ]On Behalf Of Ron Yearns Sent: Saturday, November 14, 2009 10:11 PM To: [email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> Subject: [BlindHandyMan] best talking thermostat Well someone at our Blind amateur radio club asked about the best talking thermostat.
