I guess I will start searching for demos of the units. What I really want is to put in short notes and phone numbers and to be able to access them quickly. It is a little difficult with the tape recorder and I made the mistake of purchasing the tab memo a year or so ago. After about two years it stopped working and it was very slow to retrieve numbers. I do use my mp3 player to listen to books but depending on how the recorder works might also retire that player. I do believe that the dm420 has an option to play part of each file as you go through them. I think I would like that feature.
