I think speak to me catalog has the same thing for 5 bucks less. I got mine last year when they were only 25 dollars. My thermometer came with the battery terminals squashed down. My sighted wife took a real small Allan wrench and used the short leg to slide it under the contact and lift it up so that it makes better contact. Although the thing is close enough for government work, it certainly is not for calibrating an oven.
