Do I understand correctly that this would partially align us with Firefox
(modulo the crash), and take us away from WebKit interoperability?

If so, it'd be good to understand if:
* There is interest from developers in this
* WebKit is planning to follow
* This has low compat risk (in terms of current sites relying on this value
not being null somehow)
