The clock will be off by the calculated amount, but it will be stable. It will be consistently off by the same amount. Suppose server A gets its time from the internet over an asymmetrical link. Now, suppose that server B out on the internet asks server A for the time. The errors cancel out and it will get the correct answer. -- These are my opinions.
