The way it's implemented now , calendar is able to render both relative
time spans as well as absolute dates.

It's possible to make it smaller

Well, we need to highlight start position of comments somehow .

well ... IMO that's kind of the approach to follow in order to make all
that information fit in `span1` containers . On the other hand, converting
ticket view to use a table may be a complex task and some features might
be broken in the end . I'd really like to avoid using tables .

No, I don think so . Indeed both #176 and #177 may be considered
(rewritten?) as a single ticket ;)
