Well, that doesn't work but it looks like I might have been wrong about
not being able to use the offset classes. I thought I had tested that
enough but my problem with it might have been fixed by another aspect -
something was going odd with the vertical alignment if I remember
correctly.
Had we already corrected the text prematurely wrapping of the first line
at this point? That problem does not appear either.
