June 6, 2004 Dear Jenny:
No, Senorita Cordial isn't bitter. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Read the rest of my messages, please. You should ask Ralph why he doesn't play the banjo much anymore. He'd probably tell you. James Shelton sort of runs this website & he can tell you exactly why Ralph doesn't play much anymore if you'll just ask him. He's there & knows the answers better than most of the rest of us. Please don't make comments ABOUT me--address them TO ME. I'm not an abstract thing, or a "seniorita Cordial" at all, just an old broad who still grieves for the harsh life and death of my sweet, loving Daddy & my tougher-than-nails mother who both died painful deaths, didn't live nearly as good a life as they deserved, and had nothing much in their lives except hardship. I think you could understand better if you knew the entire story of my Dad's life & more about our family and what we've been through. That, though isn't why everyone is here-we all love the Stanley Brothers, their music, and if we concentrate on that, we'll all enjoy participating. I'd rather talk about how wonderful that music is than anything else. How about that? My Dad would have thanked you for being either his or Ralph's supporter & fan & I do as well. Cordially, Doris Stanley Bradley. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, June 06, 2004 7:28 PM Subject: BG: Re: Dr. Ralph > > I was wanting to know why Ralph doesn't play the banjo much during his shows with the Clinch Mountain Boys. Does he have arthritis or something that prevents him from playing throughout the show or does he just choose not to? It's sort of disappointing because it's so much more magical to watch him sing while he plays. Not to say that it isn't magical to watch him perform in general, but he's a good banjo player and I wish that he played more. And by the way, even though Senorita "Cordial" doesn't mean to sound bitter, she does. But anyway, 'nuff said. > > Jenny --- Northern Kentucky > > God Bless the Bluegrass State!!! > Bluegrass Bulletin Board brought to you by the fan club of > Dr Ralph Stanley & His Clinch Mountain Boys > subscribe or unsubscribe at http://drralphstanley.com/ > Bluegrass Bulletin Board brought to you by the fan club of Dr Ralph Stanley & His Clinch Mountain Boys subscribe or unsubscribe at http://drralphstanley.com/
