I think this is great idea and will be happy to take part in any
discussions and, when appropriate, to provide an additional reference
implementation in the RDKit. Thanks for taking this on Craig.

If possible, I would suggest to host this discussion on a separate
mailing list (perhaps under the umbrella of Blue Obelisk?), that way
the discussion is easier to follow and for people coming later to
search/catchup. General purpose mailing lists will have a lot of
"noise" if this discussion is the signal one is interested in.
