With a week to go, chunks of the FOAF talk deriving from the FOAFs
that seven of you put up , is nearing completion.

Its growing at http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/rzepa/talks/acs08/

and it best viewed using Firefox, and if you wish, with PiggyBank installed.
The latter should be able to recover my FOAF, and hence all the other
6 FOAFS that I quote in my FOAF.

PiggyBank has two other features; A calender view, which should recover
the date of my presentation, and a Map view, which should recover the
Google MAP of New Orleans. The latter certainly is broken. If anyone
knows how to fix these, I would be grateful!

I also cite a WordPress Blog by Steve Bachrach, which has a link to
his FOAF (and again which PiggyBank should be able to scrape)
(except that Steve has mistyped his UEL, and I am waiting for him
to correct it)

There are I am sure lots of other exciting things one could do

(part of my mad plan here is that Steve in his Blog was kind enough to
mention an article of ours on hexaphyrins. On
http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/rzepa/talks/acs08/3.html
I note some cryptic DOIs. There is in fact a subtle semantic thread
running through them, which relates to a discovery (of sorts). The argument
being that "in theory" that connection should be apparent to a machine
as well as a human. In fact, I rather hope that neither human nor
machine makes the connection, since we have not yet sent the article
off, and I don't was to be scooped by a machine!!)

If anyone on the list has anything else interesting to suggest,
I can incorporate it, with due credit given via the FOAF of course!!

I am open to any reasonable suggestion (or correction)
