Hi, Helvetica Neue almost looks decent on Mac, of course there isn't one on any other operating system.
Ok, so then we have plain Helvetica, which, IMHO, is by far worst type you can choose for web these days. It just looks terrible on small sizes (not that it's any good on large ones either). It's not standard on Windows nor *nix OS AFAIK, but since you do have it before Arial (on body element) those poor souls that have it installed will see how shitty it really is. And it's also quite an old type... hmm... But enough about my likes and dislikes. Is there a reason that makes any sense why use Helvetica at all, and if you really do want to use it why cant it at least be after Arial (which, in lack of proper competition, is quite cool type).
