+1 While Verdana does look more like Helvetica (with it's disproportional ascent and descent and large em unit size) i think it's better to go with Arial then mess around with CSS3 properties (such as font-size-adjust) or adjust line-height for Verdana (or any other typeface for that matter). > I hope this website posts its results for free on its current study... =O) Should be interesting, if it ever gets public that is...
