Hi Y'll,

I havent being active in this group coz I stay in seoul but was planning to
immerse myself into the service of the country through this group once I was
back in India. Now, I have my doubts about the functioning of this group.
If people with different ideology (on other front) cannot coexist for the
upliftment of our nation, then there is something seriously wrong about the
very essence of the group. If our goal is still the fabled quote "The Rise
of a great nation", then please rise above your petty designs and egos.
The foremost question are -
1) Who decides the fate of other active member, based on what criteria?
2) How does once affiliation to other group affect his/her participation in
this group?
3) Are we favouring democracy or autocracy ?

As a member of this group, I render my humble apologise to Mr.Amit for all
his hardship he has been put to. And hope active members get their due
respect that their service demands.

Jai Hind!

dear amit
i think two things.
first you should think that RSS and VHP etc hardliners are having some
ideologies or not. ideologies are always human and positive.
second
it is not a matter of used or misused.
you must have your own identity. if bm will throw me then i will not
loose because i will evaluate myself if i will get myself honest and
committed towards humanity then it will be better to leave an
undemocratic organization but bm will loose a good thinker/ humanist/
activist, i have been working my own for last one decade. i am doing
and i will be continue.
please remember that if any organization will behave undemocratically
then it will be refused by people because people have fed up these
current ruling parties.
the majority of voters are non technocrates, non iitians non iimians
etc.
for me if bm will say to leave i will leave immediately. organization
is only tool for humanity.
in my view organization should work with real democracy.
with love

Dear Amit,

All that the Moderators were saying was that they are not willing to
compromise on their ideals. The way they said it may have been wrong, but
remember all of us are young people; they way we communicate may not be very
polished all the time.

Just do not take it to heart, and read the good thing in what they said,
rather than in the negative things. BM does lot of social work also and
there is nothing wrong in going to Politics. I agree with the moderators
100% on this.

Even Hitler became the man of the year in the Time magazine once because
once he got power; he was able to give jobs to every man and woman in
Germany. Wages may have been low, but after a gap of many, many years every
man; woman and child had food to eat, and a place to sleep in the night.
Even though he was a despicable man, there are something's which we can
learn even from an evil person.

In his book Mein Kampf, he mentioned in detail, every single thing he would
do after getting power - and he did exactly that only. Also, the Nazi party
was able to completely replace the old German Govt, in every dept, because
by the time they took over, they had the corresponding departments in their
party itself, with proper documents, and papers and proposals, which just
needed to be passed in the parliament.

I am not comparing BM with Nazi party, but just saying that it is only from
the Govt that true change can be done. And for that, it is essential that BM
go into politics. Even in the Bhagavad Gita Krishna tells Arjuna that he has
to do his duty, and not worry that he is going to fight against other
members of his family.

Vijay

Dear Rupesh ji,
As I have proposed earlier of an e-newspaper( costing around Rs. 2),
can some of us start it in hindi. Most of our people are concerned
towards e-magzine keeping this proposal back in the queue, but I am
sure that with same amont of resources this plan would be many times
more fruitful. Just a team need to be formed and things will start
going.

From: "Vijay Mohan. D"

Hi,

I have gone through this email in detail and have been thinking for the past
few days about how exactly to tackle this problem effectively. There maybe
be literally hundreds of similar cases coming to these people every day or
month. And if one Singh or Raju is removed, another will take his place, so
any solution which the Govt may take will only remove the symptom, and not
the disease.

Here is what I propose after intense thought:

1. Improve the document - Add a table with serial number, divided into
Name of the complainant, Passport officials, Police, and Middle man. In each
case specify the amount of money given.

2. Total this at the bottom of the table.

3. Show two graphs - One a pie chart of number of people cheated w.r.t
passport officials, police, and Middle man.

4. Second graph will be amount of money paid w.r.t passport officials,
police and Middle man.

5. Obtain a document from main passport office showing number of
passports processed in the previous year and current year. Use the above
data to calculate, how much money must have been made by passport officials,
police and middle man. Draw the pie chart for the same.

6. Show a line chart with numbers for the past 5 years indicating
against the total number of passports issues how much each Govt dept has
made out of the people.

7. Now, when you send the above documents, send a copy to the revenue
dept also, so that they can enquire and check whether Mr Singh/Raju and
party pay the proper taxes or not. If possible, try to see whether
information can be got about the bank accounts and other property details of
the accused.

8. Also, contact some final year law students in Kanpur, and ask them
about the feasibility of filing a class action suit. I.e. People of Kanpur
Vs Passport Dept and People of Kanpur Vs police dept. A class action is when
many people have been wronged, and they come together to tackle the issue,
and fine the pants out of the accused.

9. Finally, get together on a debate with all BM members in Kanpur to
decide about what to do, to remove the disease rather than the symptom.
Publicize the details of your investigation report in the papers, and a
practical solution of how to improve the situation. Book an auditorium in
Kanpur and invite students from all colleges for a debate on corruption in
Govt offices. Then publicize the debate and get together to formulate plan
of action, etc.

Basically, what I am trying to say is that, let us do something different
and thoughtful rather than something which every Tom, Dick and Harry does
when faced with a similar problem.

BM USA Members: If anyone can reply to this email with details about how
passports are obtained in US, and have a talk with the officials there as to
what and how their system and processes are which prevent corruption, we can
send the same to BM India and they can use that as a sample to propose
restructuring of the passport system in India. This is essential, because
anyone can complain, but the real thing is in proposing a solution which
works.

Again, remember it does not matter whether anyone implements these things or
not, but we can carefully prepare the plans so that when the day comes, we
can directly implement these things from the parliament.

Regards,

Vijay

Subject: [bm] corruption in passport office

Dear friends,
Please find the report on corruption in passport office in attached file: We
aim to submit it to the following with an application:

            (1) President office Govt. of India, India

            (2) Prime Minister office Govt. of India, India

            (3) Director of grievances, Joint Secretary, (CPV), Ministry of
external affairs

            (4) Passport office lucknow

            (5) D.M. office Kanpur.

            (6) S.P. office Kanpur.

            (7) Head Post office Kanpur

            (8) Director Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

            (9) Dean of Students Affairs IIT Kanpur

            (10) Press

We have taken permission from central admin team for reporting to press:
today, there was an article in Dainik Jagran on this, in 1-2 days, India
Expres and TOI wil also report it.

this is a great work done by brother Alok : the whole idea was his and he
did a good social service by arousing moral conscience of IITK students to
register their moral protest over this shameless corruption: we need more
such brilliant efforts from all our members of BM.

brother Alok is leading this work. We r submitting every comment as we got
from the students: we should show no mercy to corrupt people, who fleece the
blood of hapless, innocent people, due to their satanic greed and moral
poverty.

I m very happy with this work by Kanpur Chapter : we should continue to
fight every inhuman, immoral deeds in society with indefatigable spirit. I
also welcome similar efforts by other chapters: they may take help from
brother Alok ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and me.
