I am part of a group developing a new biomedical asset management system. It is being developed in partnership with Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering at La Trobe University, Biomedical Engineering at La Trobe University and The Alfred Hospital. Other Victorian hospitals have shown interest in the project and interstate hospitals would be encouraged to participate. The system is being designed specifically for hospital biomedical departments in Australia. It is intended that the only cost associated with it would be a small licence fee which would cover continuing maintenance costs. We are seeking feedback from the community on the current list of broad requirements, (which are attached) and partners in interstate hospitals who'd be interested in being involved with the project. NB: VHA members who have been asked for feedback via a separate process - please continue with the existing process.
