Med_Star is a StarSolution product to assist in the maintenance and reporting of medical devices from the perspective of a Biomedical Engineering department. Our goal to create a community internet based database that allows users to check information about any medical device and view its history from the experience of others. The advantage of this is that you can: 1) Make an assessment of devices for acquisition. 2) You may already have that model device with some problem and you want to see if anyone else has had the same problem and how they resolved it. Med_Star is a Star solution software product designed specifically for the management of medical equipment from the prospective of a Biomedical Engineering Department with integrated Electrical Safety testing (ESA601 and 601Pro XL). We tailor the program to individual needs to produce a complete solution. A question and answer listing will also be added specifically focused for the Biomedical Engineering community. We are also in the process of testing and finalizing a new line of patient monitors that utilize wavelet analysis and neural networks to self diagnose arrhythmias and other heart conditions.
