When I removed the 325is emblem off my old '93 in favor of a - cool at the time - Racing Dynamics emblem I used a heat gun (hair dryer will work too) to soften up the adhesive and then simply peeled it off.... Just be sure not to sand through your trunk. Tires have progressed considerably since the TRX's. Borbet makes a good replacement. Hmmmm...I'd think that mounting a video camera on either the dash or windshield would kind of block your vision. I know the rear view mirror in my M3 gets in the way - I'd imagine that a video camera would be even worse. You might want to take a look at the mounts that go behind your line of sight. JT Designs (www.jt-designs.com) makes a pretty cool mount that attaches to the rear seat headrest brackets. Someone (I forgot the company, but I'm sure someone here can supply the info...) also makes a mount that goes between the front headrest brackets, and has a couple of legs to help stabilize the camera. I use the European Autosports harness bar just as a camera mount - it only takes a few minutes to install/remove it. It's easy for graphics professionals to simulate a higher speed of a car, simulate handling characteristics, and "cut and paste" the car into a different setting. It's probably true that a some testers do not wear helmets, but hopefully they will wise up with the news of a highly-experienced driver getting killed. I don't know if he was wearing a helmet or not, but more exposure of the possibility of death when testing a car's limits might save more lives. When I was about 9, I wrecked a 4-wheeler (Suzuki 50, really small) into a 3 foot deep ditch. If I wasn't wearing a helmet, I could have been totally knocked out and drown in the creek. I'm glad the helmet had a big mouth guard surround too, or I might have lost teeth or broke a jaw. Luckily, I just got some scrapes and bruises... Moral of the story: Helmets are good!
