Naw, Geeeze, ya got it all wrong. Ben, it's probably leaking from the line going to the cold start valve. Mine started leaking about a month ago, and I was able to pull it off, cut the frayed end, and re-attach it without incident. I'll replace it with a new hose eventually, but since I needed the car right then, I didn't have a new spare length of hose, and I'm not particularly looking forward to replacing it, it'll probably stay that way for a little while. Pat's right, however, when he says that it's a royal bitch to get at the lines down there. The easiest way I found was to remove the intake bellows and air sensor assembly, and grab the offending hose from underneath the intake manifold with my right hand while using the other hand to manipulate a large screwdriver back and forth across the top of the hose. It eventually did work itself off, but it took a while. And quite a bit of gas came out, even though depressurized the system (pull the fuel pump relay with the engine running) before I pulled the hose off. Good luck on this one. It ain't especially hard (difficult, ya perverts), but it ain't fun, either. I have a '96 M3 muffler which fit fine on a 325. This '96 I have also has larger pipes than the '95 M3 muffler (about 1/4" larger each). Some people say the '96's have the damper & different clamping arrangement but my '96 doesn't. BTW, I'm going to be selling mine shortly once my UUC exhaust arrives, so if anyone is interested drop me a line. I figure $200 + shipping for one in perfect condition is fair. If only on startup for a few minutes then you have a Cold Start Injector that has split its seams. Otherwise it could be the fuel line to the Cold Start Injector. Either way not a fun fix. BMWs have their own share of nightmare stories, as do Mercedes, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Ferrari, Honda... you get the idea. They're all just machines, sometimes put together properly, other times with glitches. As BMW owners, I do not believe there is any reason to reassure ourselves of the merits of our chosen marque (not 'marquee', I wish people would learn the correct spelling and pronunciation already) without reveling in the real or projected defects of other brands. The "M3 vs. S4" arguments are even more silly than the "Camaro vs. Mustang" nonsense. We know M3s are great cars and the rest of the world (including many BMW owners) acknowledge the S4 as a great car as well. Having driven both, I think the decision between them boils down to individual preferences and requirements.
