long time to figure out the dermatological versus automotive.

I'm much too warm and fuzzy/fussy for this Teutonic kid glove

who fart in the wind when they tell you how easy it is to put their
products on your 2.8 "on a Saturday afternoon" (yeah right, with Lady

Or is it that dark netherworld heretofore never discussed on the
chat site, of the STRESSED out attitude of BMW drivers, either to post
boom economic wave riding or perhaps that result of having the best,
that one does not necessarily feel biggest, and has to compensate
against all those Japanese pocket rockets and upscale Jag-Ford,

Oh, so what is a stressed product or service? Seriously, for my

Celisa,

Have fun replacing the radio antenna after they try to remove the tint. It
will be damaged in the process. Wise to check prices on everything before
you commit to remove.

Uh, the post said stressed components and systems. Components (like
bushings) and systems (like brakes) that are stressed (as in highly
loaded) under track conditions (as in high speed and cornering
acceleration).

Maybe you should attend and learn something.

Although most BMW phones are made by Motorola, they have special
software modifications that allow use of the steering wheel button
functions and voice activation features not found on the standard
Motorola phone. For this reason, you cannot simply buy the wiring
harness and have your standard Motorola phone access the features or in
most cases, even work at all. BMW wants you to buy their phone and have
made sure other phones are not compatible with their system.

My mechanic says to use only isopropyl treatments. Never asked why--I
trust his judgement on these things. I use it in both the Rover and
the 318 regularly.

"Click and Clack" say that you *can* use "rubbing alcohol" safely
<http://cartalk.cars.com/Columns/CC/CC7472TXT.html>--so long as it's
a 99.9% isopropyl mixture--some are cut more heavily with water.

This is the exact ingredient in Pro Dry gasoline treatment.

What about adding an external mast antenna to get your reception back?

All 94 5, 7 and 8 series can close the windows/sunroof from the door lock.

I don't recall ever trying it in an E36. The probably got it standard on
late production.

If any BMW allows you to close the windows, it will also close the sunroof.

I gotta agree with Zach on this one; Windows, but no sunroof.

Subject: [uuc] Need assistance from NCC member(s)

I am attending my first drivers school of the season next weekend (March 31
- - April 2) at CMP. My wife (who is a teacher) is on spring break the week
after the school and therefore we are going to make a vacation out of
it. We will leave Kershaw Monday morning and travel to Washington D.C. and
spend the better part of the week there.

Now for the problem. I tow my 635 to the track using a Dodge Dakota and an
18' trailer. I plan on trying to ditch the truck and trailer and do my
limited driving with the 6. So I need a place to park the truck and
trailer. My questions are: Are there any hotels near all the sights that
I can park my truck and trailer? Any members have a shop with room to park
the truck and trailer? Any ideas on where it cam be left and be safe? I
am not worried if it is outside of town a little bit. I will be traveling
into town on 95N and out of town on 66 and hitting 81 (or maybe
270). Anywhere near here would be great.

The trailer will have a set of track tires (only three, the forth will be
my spare) locked to the trailer and the rest of my track stuff will be
locked in the truck or the truck tool box.

BTW, Does anyone have any ideas on good stops on the way worth spending
some time at (even if it is a day or more). We have no set schedule and
are very flexible. And I have already done the Charleston, SC thing and
actually lived there for two years working on an extended project.

Thanks for any help or info.

All true, except for the hard-to-find bit, unless maybe you mean
exclusively used (but, why would you want a used ICV?).
The check engine light on our '91 318is was telling me that the O2
sensor was bad. I was sure that is wasn't, because it had been replaced
not long before. So, I ordered a new ICV for it, and got it in two days.
Once it was in, the idle was as good as new.

hi steve,

steven is right, some issues it is like pulling teeth to get people
to submit to the COTM (car of the month) section. what we've done
lately is to take photos of our chapter member's cars at NCC events
and get them to send a writeup in to go along with the photo. this
method seems to be working quite well. during our tour of white post
restorations earlier this month, we took another 3-4 COTM shots. if
you'd really like to send a photo of your car to be included in our
COTM section, please do. i will do my best to see that it gets printed.

thanks very much for your compliments on our newsletter btw. we have
a number of people who contribute a lot of time every issue to make
it as good as it is. like you, i also see all the newsletters that
are produced by the chapters. i think it is very interesting to get a
firsthand view of what all the individual chapters are doing locally.
i'd also like to return the compliment, as the GGC's newsletter is
definitely one of the best out there. i can certainly appreciate your
commitment.
