The Audi lights almost seem to be the fake "blue" bulbs sometime because they change with the angle of the lighte relative to my view of them too. I am also noticing that the Acura ones are slightly different in hue from others as well. I can't quite pick out the car's make from the light alone, but I'm getting close - true trainspotting.... I can remember when Halogen lights first came in & how bright they were compared to other bulbs, now the Xenon/HID's are having the same effect. On some nights it seems like half the cars on the Golden Gate Bridge have Xenon lights. If the dot com economy keeps going strong it won't be long before you stand out from the crowd in the Bay Area with non-Xenon lights. You can replace all your lights for about $150 (a pair of Hella H1s and a pair of Hella H4s). For a couple more dollars you can install a pair of Hella relays and upgrade to 100W H1 bulbs and 55/100W H4 bulbs and end up with a light output that IMHO is better than any stock car including those with Xenon lights. While everything is apart I always powder cote the headlight rings black (I tried spray painting the rings on my '76 2002 back in '82, but most of it chipped off in a few months). Save the Wal-Mart halogens in the foam Hella boxes so you can put them back in before you sell the car. Options? Kyle, Yes I do. I had the same car. I had the same problems. I converted to the NORMAL suspension. Call BMP in Tyler, TX. They have the conversion kit. The whole package minus springs will set you back about $1000.00 This includes the EDC bypass pump kit. I got and installed mine 2 1/2 years ago and sold it to a friend. 90K on the car since with no Probs. Ask about the pump bypass from the power steering pump back As it is not included in the base kit. You don't need it to do the conversion, but if you don't do it the leveling pump will still run (connected to nothing) and eventually fail and make lots of noise. Also the plugs that go on the ends of the line WILL need to be BRAZED on. If you do not they WILL leak. Not right away, but soon. (if you don't buy the full kit.) LOTS of pressure in the system. I would not recommend this job to an untrained person. Expensive but worth the conversion. And no future failures Jason Daniels - ---------- > From: Kyle <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [uuc] 91 735il EDC front strut inserts $522 each!!! Juan: This is a bit of a general question. What kind of problems are you looking for? 1. The general type, like a jack that would lift the car and somehow prevent it from tipping over as you wrenched on lug bolts, a fuel leak detector (may not exist, but thinking them up would be the interesting part). These may be used on many cars. 2. The specific type, like a tool to measure clutch wear, align lights, etc. (all of these exist now, but the same applies to those that do not). These would be pretty car-specific. Those cars had the 286hp 3.0L euro engine, a special plaque, and a special numbered leather owners book, it is probably still worth the 50k he wants for it, especially if it's 50K Canadien money.
