The wheels are in very good shape with a few minor scratches. One wheel does has medium scratch. The tires have less than 300 miles on 'em. I'm asking $1700.00, including shipping in continental US. Email me for pictures, I haven't finished cleaning them for shipping. Also, is there a consensus on where to get the best price for Bilstein shocks? Gary Wills and I will be running the One Lap Of America race this May. We will be running the first ever entered 2002. This cars has lots O mods. 45 DCOE's, 292 cam 10:1 pistons 4 wheel discs all the suspension mods blah blah blah. The cars primary sponsor is Ireland Engineering. We are looking to pick up a few more. If you know of anyone wanting to sponsor a car let me know. Bimmer Magazine has confirmed doing an article on this car. Should come out in July. The Roundel is also going to be covering the entire race and awarding the top finishing BMWs in their class trophies. So there will be a lot of exposure. The reason for this post is not solely to get more sponsors. We would like your support in running this race. Several tracks will allow spectators and we would love for you to support us. Also we may need any other support you could offer i.e.: food, sleep and most likely a shower. We will try to stay at some motels but with the amount of driving we have to do this is most likely not going to happen. We could also use some tech/mech. support. Although we don't expect to have any mechanical difficulties, you never know. If you need to know anything else about us, the car and what we need please feel free to email me or call. # 323-663-2002 One item we really need is to borrow a V1. any lenders out there? Who would be willing to lend their help/support? If you are interested let me know your location and particulars so I can add it to our route. Please go to the One Lap web site to get all the info on the race. Make sure you go to the bulletin board as they are always updating the particulars of the race. There are several track and non track stops that you all could attend. http://www.onelapofamerica.com/ Thanks Jordan D'Alessio Lap Puppy... I chickened out and took the car in, since we'd only owned it a few days and I'm not very familiar with the E36's (although having just received my Bentley the front suspension doesn't look to much different than the E30's). The problem wasn't too surprising, the inner control arm ball joint was toast on the passengers side. I had them replace both control arms and the CA bushings. Everything is just fine now. The technician also spent a little extra time to look over the car and give me a laundry list of the problems he found, none of them surprised me for a car with 82k. Thanks for all the advice. - --David '84 325e '84 318i '92 325i ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2000 19:11:50 -0500 From: "Daniels, Jason S" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [uuc] 16 year old in Driving School? I concur as well. The little dust generated only dulls the typical silver wheel finish. If you don't touch the wheels, you can get away without cleaning for months. Really! It used to be 10 minutes, once upon a time. Now, it's 1/10th of an hour. 6 minutes. 3 FRU is 18 minutes. It's all subjective though, because the entire existence of the FRU is to allow techs and shops to earn money without being constrained to actual time limits. Basically, BMW says a job takes 5 FRU. Therefore, the shop charges 5 FRU and pays the tech 5 FRU. Now, if the tech did the job in 15 minutes, then 1 FRU = 3 minutes. If he did it in 1 hour, then 1 FRU = 12 minutes. It is for this reason that it is conceivable that you can drop your car off at 8am, pick it up at noon and pay 8 "hours" labour.
