I would think that most of the time someone replaces seals the rack boots
have been toast and the rods are scored so it most likely will leak again.
If this is not the case I would try it.

Redneck aligning 101
You can set toe by measuring the distance C to C at the front and rear of
the wheels. Adjust the distance accordingly so it is equal. If you need to
center the wheel "turn" the wheels in the direction the wheel is pointing by
making equal turns on each adjuster.

I still have my "automatic rebuilding" book if you would like
to borrow it. Main point is to make sure you remember where
your balls go. All the parts go in the same order they come out.
You just replace the old with whatever comes in your kit and look
for obvious signs of worn parts.

They don't have "codes" (do they?) Mine does not anyway.
I'd check the crank sensor(s) if you have no primary.
I think that's the usual. Bentley has a whole checklist no?

Of all aftermarket kits, I have consistently found the
Zeemax ones to be in the poorest taste! Some of the
early Alpina ones were bad, but you could get used to
them, but the Zeemax ones, no way!

It's actually spelled "Zeemax". They make
WEIRD-looking wide-body fiberglass fender flare kits,
like adding E30 M3 fender flares on steroids. You can
see the E34 kit at: http://www.zeemax.com/7e34wb.htm

Hi All,
I will be buying a battery tomorrow and wanted to get your opinions on
whether I should buy an OEM battery from BMW or an aftermarket brand. I
assume that the after market brands will cost less. Have you heard of
internal vs. external venting for BMW batteries?

As has become my custom, I have an eclectic group of items for sale on
eBay this week:

<http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewListedItems&userid=macvaugh>

This week has mostly items that were bought but not paid for and are
being relisted again. If you were outbid last time, this may be your
chance to grab the item at the right price!

Also an opportunity to own a piece (or seven) of the mystique.

Never any reserve.

Thanks,

Ed

All I can say is, If a BMW SUV(no matter the mods) beats cars like 996 GT3s
or turbos, Ferrari 360s, F40s or F50s, McLaren F1s, E46 ///M3s, Corvette
ZO6, ect, ect ect, then I have one statement,

 "DRIVER SKILL VARIES, ALOT".

tho I'm not sure Jon is currently doing Aluminum parts, he will wrap just about
anything you want in leather of your choosing. he started with leather armrests
for Z3's but has expanded to other interior bits.
