The PCV valve may be doing too good a job of recycling crankcase fumes.

The F150 Harley Davidson edition has a slightly detuned Lightning drivetrain in a crew
cab. Only 4500 lb towing capacity though.

Brett,

Most of those who posted on that thread own Lightnings. The particular
gentleman you quote owns a 2002 Lightning which off the showroom floor
pulls
.85 g on the skidpad. That doesn't look so bad next to an '02 M3 which
pulls
about .90. Throw in the facts that the Lightning also makes 380 hp and
450
ft-lb stock and that truck is capable of embarrassing a lot of cars on a
road course. Considering it stickers for about $14K less than the M3 and
can carry a full sheet of plywoood, yeah, there _is_ a performance
vehicle.

Got a guy interested in these chrome 7-series wheels I've had for sale
for a while now. Somewhere he's got the idea that they might work on
his 1998 Grand Prix GTP Coupe.

I'd tend to believe otherwise. I think the 7er wheels are 5 on 120mm,
and that his pattern is more like 5 on 115mm. Anyone know about this?

Guess I'll call the Tire Rack if it comes down to it.

TIA.

My family is from Kaustinen Finland. I've never been over there though. But they have
a wonderful
music festival up there in Kaustinen. You should go check it out if you have a chance.
Can't tell
you much more about the country though. The people, in general, tend to be quite
reserved. Most
younger people speak English in addition to Finnish or Swedish. They love their cell
phones.
There are some cultural differences between the Finnish Finlanders and the Swedish
Finlanders.

Dave Kelley (I know... doesn't sound like a Finnish name does it?)

Everyone,

Subject: G.F.'s 98 323is--problem: emissions test

I seem to be having trouble getting this damn thing to pass an emissions
test. The car has a CE light that goes on from time to time (which I hear
they all do....). So, we had this light reset last Thursday where we bought
the car. This is the second time this light has been reset since we bought
it in Dec. Still no one is apparently able to tell me why this comes
on.....

Anyway, on Friday, we take the car for an emissions test. Nope, sorry, the
GA state OBDII reader tells the tester that the light has just been reset &
there is no data there. The tester tells said G.F. that there is no
problem, the car just has to be driven around a bit to aquire data for the
test. Yesterday, she goes back....still no data for a couple of points
(maybe it was incomplete data). Another fail......

My question is, how the F!#$%^$$#ing hell long do you have to drive this
thing until it will pass an emissions test. We've had this car since 12/2
and it still doesn't have a tag on it!!!! Or is there something else wrong
I should be looking for? We've really had this car too long for not having
a tag.....

Thanks
Lee->building a stronger case for driving E30's every day......
88 M3->no CE light
01 Saab 9-3 SE->32k & never seen the CE light after start-up

Does that mean that if I get an alignment done on my car while w 16x7 wheels
w snows and spacers it will be off once I put my 17x8 and 17x9 wheels w
summer tires and no spacers back on?

If so would it be off significantly or will it not be noticeable?

I know that the 2000 Grand Prix had a 5 X 115 bolt
pattern, I'd have to assume the 98 is the same.

And since this info is rattling around in my head, the
bolt pattern for Fourth Gen F Bodies (Camaro and
Firebirds) and Corvettes is 5 X 120.

And used by the highway patrol to give pricey tickets.

So you're saying that a vehicle rated to tow 5000lbs is just as safe and
engineered to the same level as one rated at 20,0000?

Go for it.
