And the rarest of all is the diesel Thunderbird of the same vintage. And from an experience at our shop with one of those, we also know the crank pulley is different than the BMW's. - -Phil >"M Kittock wrote: >Hmmmm... I don't even recall any Ford diesels. Any advice on the base non-HK E46 system? IMO the low frequencies are muddy and the highs are just plain nonexistent. Don said: I have heard it's a direct drop in replacement if you have a tired td.. but prolly Brent can address that better. I would think for $250 you could get the crank surrounded by an entire engine at this point. Ya but if you only want the crank to build a M20 stroker then thats the only item you'll need from that motor. :) Kyle Sanchez __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Fumbling for the disc you want isn't the safest thing to do while you're in motion. For people with large disc collections I think changers are still the best option for the car. mp3s are fine too if you've ripped all the music in your collection, but not many have gone to those lengths." Yes, the changer is certainly safer. I've got a small MP3 player that pipes into the head unit, but I use it for audio book downloands. The bulk of my in-car listening is NPR anyway. "I'd get something from Blaupunkt or Alpine that integrates well with the dash; but these are getting rare." YES! I got the old-style Blaus on E-Bay and won't give them up. The new ones with stacks of rotating CDs and jumping dolphins are ridiculous. I don't think even the Japanese make dashes that integrate with them. I wonder where they get their market research. They may also offer installation kits that will facilitate installing units that otherwise would not fit the stock opening. No affiliation, blah, blah...
