Set them up at maximum pressure listed on the label cold. That's what I did with both of my trailers. Also watch for cracking etc on the tires. That is where the weighing enters the picture. Gary Derian > It is easier than that. > > Set them up at maximum pressure listed on the label cold. Your advice was exactly what I needed to finish the project, and came just at the perfect time. I would never have figured out the door wiring without your help. I was able to get the car mostly buttoned up today, and I'm just waiting for the Sparco's to arrive. I'll keep your climate control info on file for the next stage of work, when I may ask more questions on removing other wiring harnesses and what else can be removed from the dash area... The "take good motor, chop off 2 cyls" worked great in the original M3. There's no reason to think it wont work now. Give me something the size of a miata that handles like a bmw, makes north of 200hp and 160ft/lbs, weighs under 2500lbs. Add a redline of at least 8000 rpm, 4.10 or better gears, and a 6 speed gearbox... The M2 is the car BMW NEEDS to make. Succeed the 2002 and the E30 M3 all with one vehicle that the enthusiasts will universally love. incidentally if you assume 333hp/268 trq for the S54, divide by 3.2 and multiply by 2.2, you get: 228hp, 184ftlbs. the closer to 2000 lbs the M2 is, the better (unless they're planning on making it < 2000 lbs :) Matt 88 M5 '07 M2 ? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Jul 2003 21:56:40 -0700 From: Bora Akyol (BMW) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [uuc] M2 I doubt they will build this car. You want to keep the tire cool, and you are not concerned about ride or tread wear. Trailer tires generally dry rot long before they run out of tread ( unless you are a SERIOUS track junkie ).
