FreeHAL is not NCI. If it was NCI, it would use some other resource. Anansi 
uses network. QCN uses an accelerometer, and clock time.

What non-CPU resource does FreeHAL use?

None.

FreeHAL's app is "CPU intensive" (doesn't use network or anything like that) 
and takes around six seconds to finish processing. The developer added some 
sleep()s in the inner loops to make it use 0.1% of CPU time and take two 
hours instead. The granted credits are much higher than six seconds of CPU 
time would normally get.

I don't know if all this is intentional, to game the system, or if it's just a 
clueless admin.
