I tried to rebuild in debug mode. It gives an error in the beginning itself: cannot initialize properly error (0xc0150002)
This is due to the dependencies zlib, openssl, curl, sqlite3. They have to be compiled separately and used in boinc.sln accordingly. The boinc_depends_win_vs2005 libraries of these cannot be used with VS2008 according to: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/CompileClient I have compiled the DLLs of zlib, openssl, curl, sqlite3. Have to create lib files too for build.
