It is entirely possible the Nez did originally go through channels and the
most recent change in the political head retroactively revoked the
permission. We need to wait and see before we do anything drastic.

Unfortunetly the mainstream culture has not seen the value added by
running research projects on computers. Maybe if Nez had done this
through official channels he could have done something more
constructive like integrating the technology into classroom
curriculum's. Usually people with innovative ideas like that get
rejected, but its better to contribute to BOINC in an official
capacity than trying to do things under the radar. It does a
dis-service to the community who are trying to get recognition from
academia as a legitimate form of volunteerism and avoid the perception
of cybercrime. I have posted a thread on a d...@h forum to please only
install on computers you own.
