I really don't understand the Max tasks per day field. As far as I know, this computer has never returned an invalid task, yet it is reporting a max tasks per day of 1. It has one task in progress, all others have been removed from the DB.

It has one task completed waiting for validation, and one in progress: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=4466191 s...@home Enhanced 6.03 Number of tasks completed 1 Max tasks per day 2 Number of tasks today 2 Consecutive valid tasks 1 Average turnaround time 1.97 days I have the feeling that Number of tasks today is not being properly reset to 0 at the end of the day. Therefore, each task adds to the Number of tasks today, and when the Max tasks per day is calculated, it is always increasing. Also useful would be the Daily quota for each application. Should the daily quota be scaled by the number of devices that support a particular app version? jm7 Raistmer <[email protected] > To Sent by: <[email protected]> <boinc_dev-bounce cc [email protected] u> Subject [boinc_dev] "Number of tasks today" field 06/25/2010 05:17 AM http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/host_app_versions.php?hostid=4517643 Number of tasks completed 531 Max tasks per day 631 Number of tasks today 737 Consecutive valid tasks 531 Average turnaround time 4.07 days This host at no condition can finish >700 tasks per day. What this field means? If it means number of completed task today (as it name can say) then this counter definitely broken. If it means number of tasks sent to host today, as it name also can say, then it's definitely broken too, this host didn't recive so many tasks today. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address.
