OK, I had forgotten that test of IPV6. IPV4 local address space dual
stacked with IPV6 global address space is going to exist for years to come.
Mostly I was worried about some new project not being able to get / afford
a public IPV4 address once scarcity really kicks in hard.

For connecting to projects, BOINC has supported IPv6 for as long as
libcurl has. I tested this back in Dec 2008 (with a BOINC project
having *only* an AAAA record), and mentioned it again in reply to a
post of yours in May 2010.

I have seen some work to implement IPv6 for GUI RPCs, but I have no
idea what's the current status; David?
