Kevin: That was wishful thinking. Locality scheduling has not in fact been rewritten, though some design work has been done.
Can you tell us about your application, like - how big is the overall data set? - how big are the files? - how many (and how long) jobs are associated with each file? ... and anything else that might be relevant.
