ad 2 - there is something pretty uninformative in the official BOINC wiki (can't find it right now) which boils down to that the app_info.xml entries should be structured like those received from the project for stock. ad 1 - 'how to fix it' The most common cause of that particular error i.e. the SETI OpenCL AP app crashing unrecoverable is failure to have both the .cl and the fftw .dll present in the project dir. IIRC that app requires the .dll but that file is not mentioned in the app_info.xml supplied at some point by Lunatics. IIRC it lead to that very esoteric error. Try copying the libfftw3f-3.dll into the project dir. Actually the 'how do I fix' is something for the SETI boards (main or beta) and not for _dev. btw the task you showed as erroring out is an MB task. It's lacking the initial ap_ indentifying it as AP. I agree the error message is very uninformative.
