Thanks Carl. The point I was trying to make is the following: given
there's not yet a working release management process for api or server
code, projects like us depend on using trunk/master. The problem is that
almost every time we need to update our BOINC codebase (also just to fix
another issue) there's some regression that could have been found much
earlier and without manual effort, if there would have been nightly
builds (or continuous integration) across different platforms. The
earlier such bugs are found, the less costs they'll generate downstream
(multiplied over all projects). It would save everyone involved quite a
lot of time and we could all use that to do more meaningful things. It's
a rather quick one time effort with a large pay-off.

So, I didn't mean to imply Rom doesn't test at all. To the contrary, I'm
grateful for the testing he does. I just wanted to point out (again)
that testing should involve more (if not all) platforms since changes
for/on one platform might affect other platforms as well. If I didn't
come across that way, I'm sorry.

Regarding git: I didn't move anyone. I, among others, was advocating its
advantages and offered my help when the project decided to make the
move. Let's not move off-topic here.
