For the United Arab Emirates, winning the World Cup was not realistic.
In 1990 they were knocked out after three straight defeats in the
groupstage. However, they managed to score two goals and no wonder the
goalscorers celebrated as if they had won the World Cup. The players
received a Rolls Royce for every goal they scored!
