19/02/2007 15.36 Goal.com Exclusive: Never Spoke With Didier About Juve Post-Lippi Goal.comItaly chief-editor Sergio Stanco caught up with Marcello Lippi to discuss the rumours involving his possible return to Juve.
Reports on several Italian newspapers indicated the coach of the Italian 2006 World Cup winning side called up Juventus coach Didier Deschamps to let him know he had no intention of taking his job away. However, Lippi exclusively told Goal.com this news is totally untrue. "A lot of things I'm reading lately are totally invented. I called Deschamps to reassure him? Are we joking? How could something like this even be said," Lippi revealed to us. "I don't even want to touch upon this stuff again, especially because it could be used against a person that I respect and admire," he added. "Once again I repeat there is nothing true on what is being said about me of late," he concluded. Lippi has been linked to various benches around the planet since helping the Azzurri raise the golden trophy this summer. In the last month a shock-return of Lippi to Juventus, with whom he won several Scudetti and a Champions League, has frequently made headlines in the Italian press. Lippi has continually stated that he will take a decision regarding his future this summer. -- Cavaliere AC Milan atau tidak sama sekal! [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
