Using the info technique should make UTF no problem as well as spaces. The only exception would be commas could not be used as they are the delimiter--unless we needed to make that configurable as well. And yes, doing away with the current, somewhat contrived (if functional) tagging system will be a simplification. Even of the core code. Hmmm, we may want to setup a routine to extract current tags from the index and port them to a new info.tags page... Easy enough. I'm trying to finish up my web-based training school this month--but if I get some free time I'll try and squeeze it in. Let me know if this capability is time-critical for anyone. I have it on the roadmap, though, so the idea won't get lost.
