Line 39 of email.php seems to prevent the correct auth process, even if the approbiate settings in site.configuration (mailaddress, mailmode) and in site.auth.email are in place:
Changed from if (! $auth) $msg['email_mode'] = "Email is currently in test mode."; to (deleted the whitespace) if (!$auth) ... Mail is sent now from action.contact, the message is still present.
