Markups are executed in certain group order, but markups in the same
group are executed in the order they were created. That causes a
little problem:

As I create new markups, I often found I have to remove current
markups only to define them again without any change after the new
ones. In the following case I needed my WikiCreole image markup to be
rendered before the current links markup, so images could be used as
link labels:

MarkUp('links', 'links', ''); // remove original links, so uploads2
will render first

MarkUp('links', 'uploads2', '/\{\{(.*?)\}\}/e',
'BOLTMmyuploads("$1")'); // {{ }} upload

MarkUp('links', 'links', '/\[\[(.*?)\]\]/e', 'BOLTMlinks("$1")'); //
create original links again!

If I would modify the original markups.php I could simply insert my
new markups into the desired place, but I write my markups in the
config.php, what is better for other reasons.

I'm not sure, perhaps there is a way for the markups to be rendered by
name order inside their group, without increasing the processing time.
E.g. [^...^] could be called "links10", [[...]] would be "links20" and
so on. Then in my config file I could create my markup in the same
group with the name "links15" or any other name alphabetically lower
than "links20".

In fact maybe a single label would be enough and would make things a
bit faster: something like "001:020" for group 001 and markup order
020. Or "0aaa00", that is: one digit to sort the group by, three
letters with the group abbr, and two digits to sort the markup by in
the group. I wonder if this would be simpler or not.

That's the idea. Just brainstorming.

Regards,

Marcos
