FWIW, I'm finding the simplest things to be the hardest to achieve. I've edited the one page (on Boltwire.com) that mentions code.skinvars to the correct code.snippets. It was surprising how hard it was to find out how to change my site title! All I can say is thank goodness for the group email. I've given up on CleanURLs for now, though I have now moved my sole field to the root which will probably solve the main issue I was having. I'll have another crack at it later.
The problem of the moment is my attempt to install the "Newsletter" (aka email) plugin. Once again, took me a bit of hunting to find out that "the email plugin" is called "Newsletter" these days (another page edited). But with that found, when I attempt to install the plugin, I get the following: Form submitted. Plugin Email enabled. The following files were extracted: action.contact, action.email, action.newsletter, site.auth.email. Invalid page name. Please try again. The truth values of those first three statements are, respectively, TRUE, FALSE, TRUE. The plugin isn't enabled, but the action files are present. Some pointers, please, on where the problem is.
