This is pretty much exactly what I thought of when I said "hint". I assumed there wouldnt be anything built-in to html to force a browser to remember where it is, then change page, then go back, but accessing the history will at least make smarter browsers attempt it. I'll look into it. If it's doable, it may be worth putting into the core as the standard "nextpage" after an action. I feel it would give sites a more professional feeling.
