Just a comment... Normally, 3.18 would be like a release candidate where people try it and make sure their are no bugs that need to be fixed with new features put on hold for it. Any bugs are fixed but new features are held off until the next development cycle. Then after no bugs are reported, the release candidate becomes a Stable release. And the development cycle moves forward with new features and beta releases are done as they are introduced to the point where a new release candidate is released, putting a freeze on new features which then vets the code to make sure it is relatively bug free etc... This prevents the release of bug fixes with new features which create new bugs. Those who are looking for cutting edge follow development closely using the beta releases with the knowledge that it could break existing functions etc... Those who have perhaps mission critical systems that can't afford that type of upgrade would wait for the next stable release. It is also common during the release candidate phase for documentation to get caught up so that it matches the next pending stable release. Not suggestion you do that, but that would be the normal cycle. Of course if there are not a lot of people using the package, that kind of become mute a bit, but one reason why people might not try a product is because of lack of a stable release cycle and documentation. Not sure how many have actually updated to 3.18 at this point. I upgraded two sites today and will do another tomorrow. Most of the active users on Google groups most likely have though. Again, I'm not suggestion you do this, just making a comment... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BoltWire" group.
