I was talking about links down the tree.

if we have
docs
docs.handbook
docs.handbook.functions
docs.handbook.functions.breadcrumb
and at docs.handbook we have [[{p}.functions.breadcrumb|Breadcrumb]]

we can move the handbook. subtree to docs.eng. without loosing link.
Also, we can copy it to docs.fr for translation with all down the
stream links operating.

This is ok only for links within the tree. For outside the tree maybe
we could use several fixed points defined as wiki link variables (is
that ok, to have several wiki variables?). It can be a bit messy if
the structure is complex, but no need for it here.
This wiki linked pages can be used as navigation points taking us to
content pages...

Flexible, easy to maintain, simple to use. Just like Windows7. lol
