That is a very old plugin and some things have changed. First you should put the specified text somewhere on page code.snippets (the page has been renamed). Then in the skin put $$dblclick. The $ is the code for $, and somewhere along the way the character encoding did not get updated on that page.
Let me know if that doesn't work. It's pretty simple javascript. But there might be some other upgrade in the last year or two that affects things. Cheers, Dan P.S.
