I am obese but for the last three years I've managed to lose some
(through exercise) and maintain my weight. For my birthday I got
myself a pedometer. That silly little thing also comes with a personal
webiste where I can track my steps each day. In the last two weeks
I've gone from walking a mile a day to more than 2. My goal is to get
to 4 miles a day.

Walking to get in shape won't bring off the weight as fast a crash
diet will but the weight loss will be healthier and more likely
permanent. I am feeling better and sleeping better. :)
