I feel the same way, Christina. I enjoyed the book - but I had a really hard time with all of the characters. Just too many. Like Lord of the Rings. I still haven't made it through the books, but I absolutely loved the movies. We've got them all on DVD. But of course for the movies the story line was simplified in that they cut out a lot of characters and events. Have you read Priestess of Avalon? I wondered if that is the same way - I was thinking of picking it up. Jen

It's an incredible book, but somehow I just couldn't keep up with the multitude of characters and relationships. I loved reading it but I kept putting off picking it back up because I dreaded trying to remember who was who. As far as I remember that is the only book I have not finished. Of course I'm pretty picky with what I read on the first place. I hope to go back to "Mists" again one day and actually finish it.
